Global term
Gig economy
An economic model built around short term, on demand work delivered through platforms or contracts instead of long term employment.
The gig economy includes ride sharing drivers, couriers, freelance creatives, micro task workers and platform sellers. Workers are usually classified as independent contractors, which means they manage their own taxes, equipment and benefits. The gig economy can offer flexibility and a fast way to start earning, but also lacks the predictability of salaried work. Hustle Report helps gig workers and freelancers track income across multiple platforms in one place.
